THIS IS GOING TO TAKE ME QUITE AWHILE TO STITCH..

SEW BUSY is such a cute design by Ellen Jareckie. It's 11 inches X 11 inches
or 28cm X 28cm. Such cute mice!
Brace yourselves - it is going to take me a long time to do this. As
you can see I only have half of the tail done of the little guy in green.

Just Love matching needlebooks

I just love simple matching needlebooks. Finally I have made one for
my Biscornu. Although it may not be a dog, a house, or a heart - I just
couldnt resist making a Sunbonnet Sue with my homemade
ric-rac. As you see she is only a little bigger than the Biscornu.
It is not fancy - but serviceable. The ric-rac is tacked down on the
purple fleece. The last photo shows her back. Most of the sewing
is underneath the red felt. Have fun!

MAKING FELT RIC-RAC

Hey, I do not know if anyone has figured this out yet as I ran across it
truly by accident. This is SUPER-SIMPLE and can be made in any length!!
The method below
gives the illusion that it is ric-rac.
Cut a piece of felt however long that you wish. Shape up
all 4 sides with pinking shears. Cut from either side with the pinking
shears any width that you wish. The last photo shows a wider
ricrac - in my opinion it looks better skinny. Once you apply it on your
project the impression is ric-rac!
Say you saw it here!

DO You Remember these....

Have you got any idea - of what to
do with a cloth TOILET ROLL HOLDER - especially a pretty one!
This one is made from Linen & has pretty ribbon embroidery.
The lace is a tatted cotton. I never used it as a toilet roll holder -
it has always been put away - still brand new. There are many
ways to fold this up - I show you picts of 2 ways - but it can
also be rolled up. Look at the next post to see what I did with it.
Mine is simple.

A Linen Needlebook

This is just one idea - of what to do with that toilet roll holder. It has many
uses and since I cannot cross stitch on linen (because of
my eyes) - this seemed to be a perfect idea. It didnt take long to make.
Be sure to click on photos. The 2cd picture shows the reverse side.
This was the first time that I have ever stitched a blanket stitch - so its
not perfect you guys. The place where you stuff the toilet
rolls is where you place your objects that you want to store.
It holds needles, pins, scissors, floss - lots of things!
Do you notice the ring is
still attached. The reason
for this is because you can still hang it up.
I closed mine with some old snaps but you could use
some pretty reasons, rick-rack or whatever you choose.
If you like this please refer others to this website. I hope that
you can get some ideas - would love to see some pics of yours.
Send me a picture & I will post it here - just bet that some of you
could really make this pretty!
