12 Hearts Patterns

Its a must......I certainly have to learn how to make the patterns look
professional. This first pattern of the front is a little blurry but I
intend to repost this later. If you are having a hard time seeing it
then let me know & I will repost it sooner. I also included
the pattern for the scissors fob. After I cross-stitched the scissor fob,
I then stitched 2 squares over from each side a BACKSTITCH
around each piece. Then I cut them out leaving a seam allowance.
This made the back pattern piece larger. I did this in order to
sew it together on the outside like a Biscornu. I stuffed it a little
to make it pouffy & then added floss to attach to the scissors.

Enjoy!

Sweet Dreams

makes me smile. I absolutely love its large size & I didnt
expect for it to turn out so nice for a couple of reasons.
My Biscornu is stitched on 14ct cream aida cloth &
uses my favorite color of brown & pink - same colors used
as on my Biscornu called 12 Hearts.
One - by the time I finished the top I was too tired to want
an elaborate back - so as you see it is randomly done.
Two - when I finished I noticed that the 2 pieces were
not the same size so I had to add another row on the back & so
I mixed that up as well on that row by adding pink to the brown.
The size of the biscornu before stitching together was about
4 & 1/2 inches each side.
I am very proud that any of it turned out at all.
This is also my own design of which I forgot to make a pattern
for. Remember it is not symetrical but it doesnt take away
from the beauty of it. Feel free to count the stitches & use
my pattern as a guide - refer to the pics - & change the colors if you like.
Also please say that it is mine & that you got the pattern here
as it is now published & copyrighted. This has turned out so well
that I am going to do more of them. Now I need a matching
Needlebook & Scissors Fob. Dont know when I will get to do that!
Enjoy Stitching!

While I was down in the bed

with BAD allergy's - I was still able to get a few things done. These
2 pincushions are made from items that I had already on hand.
These are my favorite kinds of pincushions to make
besides the Biscornu's.
Any kind of small vase would be great to use. My little vase
only measures 4 &1/2 inches high and the little pink rose has a
little chip on it. But it doesnt bother me at all.
The little cup & saucer are small also. The little cup measures
2 & 1/2 inches high. The cushion is made from a fabric sample from the fabric store.
So the fabric didn't cost me anything.
It looks so cute on its little saucer base. Take a look
around your house see what you have that can be transformed.

I hope that you like

this biscornu that I have named "12 hearts" in honor of my
sister who died of breast cancer. Stitched with my
favorite color of brown. For this biscornu I
used DMC 3371 black brown teamed with DMC 3689 pink.
Completing the set is a
matching scissor fob & needlebook. I like the look of the
tattered ties on the needlebook & it is simply made.
Keep checking back for the patterns.
