New Biscornu Pattern - FLOWER MEDLEY

Titled Flower Medley.

I have not stitched this pattern
yet. I have double checked
for errors - so let me know
if you find one so I can correct it.
The pattern can be stitched any
way that you like.
When I created Flower Medley
I had intentions of stitching all of the
flowers on top of small sequins.
However it is your decision if
you choose to use the medium size
or the big ones.
A sequin also goes in the center under
your pearl or crystal or whatever you
decide to use in the middle.
Add the sequins to both sides or'leave
them out.
Have a wonderful day stitching!
Many hugs & kisses sent your way,
Hopblogger

A Log Cabin Dream

This pattern is called LOG CABIN DREAM.
I am
positive that all of you know this quilt pattern
as simply Log Cabin. .
Log Cabin Quilts are precious to us as they
symbolize our Home. So warm and loving.
So why not stitch one up!

Hello Everyone!
Thank you for your sweet comments and
concerns. They are truly appreciated!
And Thank you for following me.
Boy, when my eyes get better I will
have heaps of cross stitch work to
do!

Make a biscornu or a just a regular
pincushion. The choice is yours.
Log Cabin is adaptable to either.
And you can use the colors that I give or
use the colors that you choose.

THIS LOG CABIN PATTERN IS INTENDED
FOR USING UP ALL OF YOUR LEFTOVER
THREADS IN YOUR JARS!! For each block
just make sure that you stay in the same
color family.

FRONT

Back

PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL
BEFORE YOU START.
6 cross-stitch blocks form the basis of the pattern.
The blocks are surrounded by 5 narrow strips
or bands around these blocks. The final large
outside strip is stitched with #3806 Lt Cyclamen Pink.
Then the narrow last strip is stitched in
black. Use black floss to stitch the front and
back together.
On the narrow strip with the white  that you see,
there are no symbols. I intended for this color
to be stitched in white.
As in a quilt all of the centers in each block
are stitched in red.
On each block beside the red centers your colors
should be stitched with the lighter color beside the
red and then graduate out with the medium and then
dark of that floss color.
FRONT: DMC 307, 310, 605, 604, 3801, 3846, 3845, 3844,
211, 210, 209, 3806, 3805, 3804, 3864, 3863, 3862, 3849, 3848,
3847, 3836, 3835, 3834, 3855, 3854, 3853, 157, 156, 155,
372, 371, 370, 415, 414, 413, 435, 434, 433, 445, 444, 504,
503, 502, 519, 518, 517, 761, 760, 758, 742, 741, 740,
761, 760, 758
BACK: DMC 310, 3801, 3846, 605, 519, 435, 211

I hope you enjoy stitching this pattern. Thank you
for visiting me!

A New Biscornu

Hello Everyone and welcome
to my blog. I hope that you enjoy your
visit with me today.
Please keep in mind that my eyes
are still not up to par and so
I am unable to stitch this up.
Several times I have went over
it and so far there are not
any mistakes. If you do find
one please let me know
so I can correct it.
Feel free to change the
colors to suit your taste. And
use whichever side you like
best for the front or the back.
I hope you like
PLAYFUL TULIPS!

Happy Stitching!
Thanks for visiting me.

A small halloween biscornu or scissor fobs

I am still unable to cross stitch.  So I
have not tested these patterns.
Here are 3
halloween patterns that are meant to be
used as a small biscornu or scissor fobs.
Use any 2 of them together to make a front
and a back.
Ghost Boo is either stitched on 14ct black aida or
linen - or you can use 14ct white aida and stitch
with black 310 DMC floss. I drew in a ghost
figure however I will be substituting it for a ghost button .
If you decide to use a button instead of this ghost
then be sure to mark the center of the aida fabric
with an x so you know where to put the button.
The same goes for the pumpkin and the spider patterns.
I will also be substituting the pumpkin for a
pumpkin button
the Spider will also be sutstituted with a button
but the spider web will remain.
These patterns are 30x30.
As you can see they are
not all that big.
Also I want to say that I have never included
directions on this blog on how to make a biscornu.
The reason is because there are so many
directions out there on the subject that I felt that
there was not any reason to duplicate any of it.
On my biscornu patterns the outer stitch that you
see is the stitch that connects front and back together.
That stitch is a running stitch - not a cross stitch.
I hope you enjoy these patterns.

Bees Patterns

I n a few days I will be seeing who won on the giveaway.
Just be patient with me - my eyes are blurry.
Here are the Bee Patterns.
I give to you first the back pattern.
This is the front pattern.
For the sides of the bucket - I have numbered them.
This is Strip 1
 Strip 2
 Strip 3
Strip 4 - just connect the pieces together if you are
making a long strip.
For the needlebook just stitch one or more of the bees. Use the
flowers and grass if you want to. Stitch this on to aida cloth
or linen or dont. The choice is yours on how you make it.
I used a sunflower which was a coaster. You know
those things that you use under cups and glasses to protect
your furniture.
For the chatalaine take a strip of ribbon not to wide and
not to thin. I use about 30 inches in length. Stitch together
a little pincushion from felt and be sure to sew a ribbon in it.
Hem up one end of the ribbon but be sure to put the felt
pincushion ribbon inside before stitching it down. Go to the
other end of the chatalaine here you can either add one of those
key rings or use ribbon. This is to attach your scissors.
Fancy these up anyway that you like and be sure to add
charms on your chatalaines.
Have fun - conny

Happy Easter!

Purple Blooming Patterns
Well folks - here are the patterns for Purple
Blooming. If you notice on the first pattern one of the
stems on the one long tulip is not connected. It
is intentionally to be left like that. I wanted the
stem to appear like it was broke.  I did try other colors
but they either looked loud or to subdued. The color Purple
just looks like it belongs with this pattern. Enjoy.

Happiness is patterns

I almost forgot to post these patterns.
Sorry aboout that! I have been so busy.
The front pattern shows the yellow
floss on white 14ct aida. All I did was
to reverse the floss & aida colors.
I like the simpleness of it - and I hope
that you do also.

Would love to see some photos or
at least know that you are
stitching them. You dont have to
stitch these patterns into
biscornu's! They would look great
stitched onto boxes or made into
sweet little pillows. Enjoy the patterns!

Here are the patterns

for Grandma's Afghans, front & back.
The front & back are meant to be 2 separate
patterns. Their colors do not have to match.
You can totally ignore my colors or make
up your own. However I do like the use of black on the
front. The back pattern that I offer here is different
than mine. Mine is more haphazard with the use of
some floss scraps. Your design will
be more orderly even when you use floss pieces.
If you do not use floss scraps then try to incorporate
more colors in the design. The back colors will pop! -
with the use of more color.
I hope you stitch this one!

How Does Your Garden Gro

Here are some additional pics. Sorry that the last posting
about this biscornu was so short. I have been
preoccupied with the next biscornu pattern - so I forgot
to tell you that the the scissor fob is just 2 velvetten flowers
sewn together back to back with a piece of ribbon in between.
It only took about 5 minutes to construct. The other is a
matching needle minder. Also I am so sorry that I dont
have a pattern for this biscornu. It left my house before
I could copy it. But if you enlarge the pics you will be able
to see the pattern in order to stitch it. Also I would like to
apologize if the pics are not in order - as I am having trouble
with my computer. This biscornu is much more striking
when you see it in person. I hope all of you are stitching up
my biscornu's! Enjoy

Hello my Friends...

I am sorry that I am late in posting
this pattern . My intentions were to
show it to you last week but I wasnt finished
with it. It's name is 'Light up my life'. If you get
started on it now - it should take you about 2 days from
the beginning to the ending. Remember when you do these
Biscornu's - stuff them hard until you cannot get any more
stuffing inside. I use alot of stuffing. Maybe this could be a last
minute STOCKING STUFFER.
Merry Christmas & may God Bless you all!

Here are the patterns

for Heart of the Rose and Rose Fields.
My initial intention for this biscornu was
to make it lacy & to call it lacy rose. However after
many months of bad attempts I could not get it to
look like I wanted it to. So my idea was abandoned.
This was the best that I
could come up with. Once I saw that it created a
heart, hence the name change to the Heart of the Rose.
You will notice on Rose Fields that there
isnt any green. That is because I decided at the
last moment to add the green while I was stitching.
There isnt any pattern for adding the green X's.
Just add them randomly or to all of the little roses
as I did. The choice is yours. I also do not mind
if you change the colors.

July's Butterfly Biscornu

is called Phantom Butterfly. I made it to be stitched in only
one color. Stitch it in DMC 3864
Mocha Beige. Its body is DMC 310 Black.
The design area is 2.36in X 2.36in.
Stitches are 33X33.
The colors are to stimulate that something
is on the white aida cloth.
The butterflies are different on the back. This should
give 2 different looks when stitched, I hope. Do not forget
to stitch the little guys antenna's or their tail strings!
I have not stitched any of this Butterfly yet as I do not
have any time cause my 'BIRTHDAY' is this thursday.
If you stitch it, I would love to see your photo's.
As always this pattern is copyrighted by me.
These patterns print large. To copy this design first save
to your hardrive and then print it.
