My Tulip Flower Applique Quilt

In my opinion, this is one of the best
applique quilts that I have made.
It contains a 9-patch, large floral squares
and the applique tulip flower blocks.
The photo really doesnt do the quilt justice!
Back in 1984, my friend gave me a set of lightweight
cotton curtains because she did not want
them anymore. I am not sure that she did
not give me a set, but only one panel, because
I would have made the quilt bigger.
As you can see this is where the curtain ended
up at!
I realize that you cannot see the hand quilting
in the floral squares - all of that quilting is
criss-crossed.  The tulip is turned under and hand stitched
down as is the stem and the leaves. It is hand quilted with
basically a sunburst. The 9-patch has x's hand quilted
in them. As with generally all of my quilts, the
backing is a 100% cotton white quilt.
This quilt has never been used.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my quilt.
Thank you for visiting me!
